Hi, I’m Ruslan — I created VitMax to help UK readers make sense of the supplement market: vitamins, minerals, and natural products, with guides I write and check against current research rather than marketing claims.

I try to be upfront about the difference between well-established evidence and early-stage research, because that distinction matters more to me than a confident-sounding headline.

My Background

I hold a medical education from Dnipro State Medical University, and I’ve spent 9+ years building and running e-commerce platforms in the health and wellness sector. That background shapes how I write VitMax: every guide is researched with an understanding of physiology and how supplements interact with the body, and checked against current research and UK/EU regulatory guidance before I publish it.

You can read more on my author page, or connect with me on LinkedIn.

How I Approach the Evidence

Not all supplement claims are backed by the same quality of evidence, and I try to reflect that honestly rather than presenting everything with equal confidence:

  • Well-established: Nutrients with recognised, authorised health claims (such as vitamin D and immune function)
  • Moderate evidence: Compounds with some clinical research, though often from smaller or shorter studies
  • Early-stage or mixed evidence: Ingredients that are genuinely interesting but not yet conclusively proven

I’d rather tell you a claim is preliminary than oversell it.

How VitMax Works

VitMax is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, and some links on this site are affiliate links — I may earn a small commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. This doesn’t influence which products I feature or how I describe the evidence behind an ingredient. Full details are on my Affiliate Disclosure page.
